Medical Massage 1

16 class hours (CEU)

This intensive course provides a comprehensive exploration of the pathophysiology of various diseases impacting each body system. Participants will master the decision tree approach for creating effective massage therapy treatment plans and demonstrate advanced rehabilitative techniques. The course also emphasizes proficient SOAP note writing for medical settings and detailed posture analysis, integrating these insights into personalized treatment strategies. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of kinesiology and learn techniques to restore muscular balance. Ideal for massage therapists seeking to enhance their expertise and apply advanced skills in a medical context.

Medical Massage 2

16 class hours (CEU)

Building on the foundational skills from Medical Massage Level I, Medical Massage Level II delves deeper into therapeutic communication and its critical role in patient care. This 16-hour, hands-on course enhances your ability to connect with clients on a professional and empathetic level, ensuring effective therapeutic outcomes. Participants will refine their knowledge of advanced rehabilitative techniques and further develop their treatment planning skills using complex case studies. Mastery of therapeutic communication, including patient education and collaboration with medical teams, will be emphasized.

Medical Massage 3

8 class hours (CEU)

Medical Massage Level III is the culminating course of the certification program, offering participants the opportunity to showcase their expertise and solidify their mastery of medical massage. In this hands-on, 16-hour capstone class, students will work with live patient models to build and implement comprehensive treatment plans. Participants will demonstrate proficiency in the decision tree process, advanced treatment planning, and clinical documentation, ensuring they are fully prepared for a medical setting. Upon successful completion of a 50-question exam, participants will earn their TM-AC (Touch Medicine Advanced Clinician) credentials, signifying their advanced competency in medical massage and setting them apart in the industry.
