Description:
Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis) is a complex shoulder pathology characterized by progressive pain, capsular restriction, and loss of function. This continuing education course provides licensed massage therapists with a clinically grounded understanding of frozen shoulder, including pathology, stages of healing, differential considerations, contraindications, and evidence-informed manual therapy strategies/techniques. Participants will learn to identify presentation patterns, adapt hands-on techniques to their clients, and apply safe, effective manual interventions to improve comfort and mobility while remaining within their scope of practice. In the class students will learn specific joint movements shown to improve function and restore range of motion, stretches, and soft tissue manipulation techniques about the shoulder complex.
