This course has limited space and there is required pre-class material. The pre-readings are important so everyone is up-to-speed and more time can be devoted to hands-on technique.
Description:
This class will provide a detailed understanding of the structure and function of the Lymphatic System, a mapping of Lymphatic directional flow, and a hands on proficiency to assist Lymph flow for health and wellness. Guidelines will be provided for working on healthy and compromised Lymphatic systems as well as a list of contraindications.
Learning Outcomes:
Students will proficiency of the structure, function, and anatomy of the Lymphatic System Students will show understanding of directional flows of Lymph Students will show knowledge of factors outside of massage that effect the Lymphatic system. Students will be able to perform a self assisted lymphatic massage Students will be able to perform a hands on Lymphatic Massage Students will demonstrate understanding of the contraindication of Lymphatic Massage and when to seek medical advise Students will show knowledge of the signs and symptoms of an impaired Lymphatic System and how to modify the treatment for these conditions.
Looking forward to seeing you in class! That’s me, Desmond, in the middle of the Becky’s, your instructors. Very much looking forward to offering this class. It was a long time in the making with many people requesting it. This is the introductory 2 day class where we pay close attention to technique and the Becky’s will be right there mentoring and assisting you to dial in the protocol. We will be focusing on working on healthy lymphatic systems as we learn the techniques. We will cover some lymphatic pathology, and those who may want to specialize in Lymphatic Massage, or work specifically in conjunction with doctors on compromised lymphatic systems can take our advanced lymphatic classes.
[Students must] review some Lymphatic System anatomy and physiology before class. See the lessons I provided below. If you want to go even further, I did an entire Lymphatic Month series. It’s free and located in the “My Classes” section of your account.
